Mindfulness is a way of being in the world. It encompasses being present in the here and now, while striving towards awareness, compassion, kindness and nonjudgment. It also alleviates unnecessary suffering while helping one to cope with the painful emotions that arise when suffering is unavoidable. I’ve been teaching mindfulness to people in my practice and community for years. The impact of this practice on lives is immeasurable.
